CONCLUSION

Firstly, it was not too easy to find information about Lord Byron’s influence. In contrast, it was more easy to find information about analysis and critics than analysis. I think this could be due to that, to find influence information, we should do a thorough investigation (analysis) of Don Juan.

I have to say that I did not know exactly who was Lord Byron. During my reading, I realized that Lord Byron was really a genius because while romantics writers were talking about feelings and freedom, he criticized romanticism through his work: Don Juan. Against other recreations about the »donjuanesco» myth (e.g.: Molière), Don Juan is a satire about the myth of »Don Juan», in which we can observe a relationship between Lord Byron and Don Juan.

It should be noted that, taking into account the information given in the »influence» section, it is inquestionably that Don Juan was influenced by Tom Jones (written by Henry Fielding in 1749). An example of this is that both characters have many affairs with women.

Finally, this experience was really exciting because thanks to that, now, I know a bit more about Lord Byron, I could comprehend why he wrote in that satire and ridiculing way.
